Dr. Shirish Kashikar, Director of our institute has a career in Journalism & academic spanning over 24 years. After completing his Masters in English literature, he completed his Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism with first rank in the university. He started his career as a reporter cum sub editor in Desh Pardesh ni Aajkal, an evening daily from Rajkot in 1996. Two years later he moved on to the state information department as an Information Officer. Dr. Kashikar was bestowed with the best article writer's award by the State Information Department in 2002-03. As an academician, he has taught in journalism department of Saurashtra University as a visiting faculty. He has presented papers on various subjects related to modern Mass Communication and history of Journalism. He is a member of Academic Council of Gujarat University and Member of Planning Board of IGNOU. He regularly participates in national and regional news channel's Political & Social debates.

Mrs. Ila Gohel, Deputy Director (Admin), is a M.Com, MBA (HR) & CS Inter (Gr. II). She is having 24 years of experience in managing the academic & administrative fields. She has worked with various national & international non-government organisations like SEWA, WFP, Counterpart International India, GSACS-PSU, ICECD & ISCE. She has represented the organisations at national level seminars and conferences. She was among the final candidates from gujarat for "Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program."

Mr. Kaushal has 10 years of experience of in Electronic Media, where he has worked with Etv, Radio Mirchi, Doordarshan Kendra, Red FM etc. He has directed and produced more than 45 documentary films. He is having 7 years of experience in Academics.

Mr. Kaushal has completed his Masters in Development Communication from Center for Development Communication, and his Post Graduate Diploma in Audio Visual from Gujarat Vidyapith.Presently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. from Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Open University.

Ritu Verma is an accomplished faculty member in Advertising and Public Relations, with over a decade of experience. She brings a robust combination of industry expertise and academic igour to the classroom. Her professional trajectory encompasses branding, copywriting, 360-degree outreach and high-impact CSR.

She has held leadership positions, where she extensively engaged in strategic communications, media relations, and large-scale IEC initiatives with the Ministry of Housing and Urban ffairs (MoHUA), Government of India.

Having previously served as an Assistant Professor, she was a member of the Board of Studies and participated in National & International conferences & FDPs.

She effectively incorporates and supports industry–academia integration, outcome-based learning,and experiential exposure within her pedagogy.

Mrs.Garima Gunawat has a strong bent of mind for research especially in the field of journalism and mass communication. She serves as an Assistant Professor at NIMCJ. She instructs students in the fields of media research and digital media. Her has proficiency in the field of fact-checking websites and fake news in India. She has published numerous research papers in prestigious indexed journals, including Web of Science, UGC Care, and ABDC. She has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences.

She has a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication and a master's degree in public relations and advertising. She has recently submitted her doctoral thesis on the topic of fake news menace. She dedicated over four years to this import research and aims to contribute to the media industry and society.She strongly advocates for media literacy and combating the dissemination of fake news through fact-checking mechanisms.
